I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Stay healthy (or become healthy), be happy and content, and I send you my very best wishes for 2025.
Yours Truly, and Toodle Pip,
Britta
PS: You see our Bavarian village square with the church in the background.
I wish 2025 to be healthier, peaceful, starvation-free and the end to horrid wars!! For all my blogging friends in particular.
ReplyDeleteThe 3.5 years of covid, increased unemployment and endless war have endangered everyone's lives and ruined families.
Dear Helen, thank you for your good wishes! And yes: let us not lose hope or joy, and be courageous and thankful.
DeleteMerry Christmas Britta.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Yael! Especially to you I wish peace and calmness and that normal days come back!! Britta
DeleteMerry Christmas and a happy and productive new year
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Mark, and I wish that you very soon are well again and can enjoy Christmas and have a very good year 2025.
DeleteHow lovely. It is as serene as it should be. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDear Mimmylyn, thank you for your kind words! Yes, this village gives a beautiful background for Christmas. I wish you and your family happy days!
ReplyDeleteMy dear Britta,
ReplyDeleteMay you have the merriest of Christmases, along with all of your loved ones, and a blessed New Year! Thank you so much for your friendship and for spending time with me on my blog this year. Also, I've just been transported to the land of beauty and radiance by reading this post. When it comes to Christmas, you and your beautiful country set an exemplary standard of how to do it tastefully so that it will always stay timeless without following current trend and fashion. I can just picture it now, a Bavarian Christmas - every direction you turn, the sight is worthy of picture-perfect postcard with a group of carolers singing Stille Nacht. Merry Christmas to you my dear friend and to your loved ones.
Best wishes, ASD
Dear Friend,
Deletethank you for your kind wishes!
Though not being a church goer once in a while I visit the very old church in the little Bavarian village here - it was built in the 14th century and might fulfil the kind version you pictured of Germany.
It is a pastorale here - a huge contrast to Berlin where I will go soon two days before my birthday.
I am so thankful for your friendship and your really interesting and witty blog - and your wonderful photos are always a joy for my eyes! Thank you for all that, and the many recommendations you give for books and poetry.
I send you my best wishes for 2025 - and hope to hear a lot from you.
Yours, Britta
Dearest Britta, thank you for your lovely wishes and in turn I wish you the Merriest Christmas with your beloved family, and look forward to many more happy times together in spirit! Pipistrello xx
ReplyDeleteDear Pip, as always I am electrified to hear from you ( IF one can express it that way - I mean: wide awake when I see the name "Pipistrello" - and mighty glad).
DeleteI hope that the New Year 2025 will be peaceful and beautiful for all of us - and gives us time and stamina to blog. Britta xxx
Merry christmas from London. 😊

ReplyDeleteDear Jackie, thank you for your good wishes! I am in Berlin now, and (news at the moment: an attack with knives) safe, thank God.
