Lewis Carroll's remark on My Luggage

When I told our son what I have packed into the two suitcases for the houseboat-trip, he sent me this (from Lewis Carrol: The Hunting of the Snark).

  1. I love that poem, but don't carry more than you can keep control of at all times - you don't want to leave anything left behind. Have a great trip.

  2. I gave the suitcases a detox - now it is only one trolley and a light bag. Son reminded me of my motto: "A Lady should never carry more luggage than she can get away with on her own."

  3. Just don't forget your name. Otherwise, you might have to answer to something like "Fritter-my-wig!" when roll is called before departure. Have fun and Bon Voyage!

    1. I'm back! Fear, as I fell into The Fountain of Youth, that I rember my maiden-name :-)

  5. I love Lewis Carrol ... this is exactly what happens me!
When I leave my home, I really can't have only one luggage :)

    1. Isn't he gorgeous, L.C.? I love especially the Cheshire Cat's grin - and yes: I added a little tiny Longchamps folding suitcase to my other one: very practical.
