I might have told you: I am a collector - with my camera. I collect sun dials, balconies, shop window dummies, beautiful cars -- to name a few --- AND photos from impressing undergrounds.
The first year in Berlin it was a bit difficult for husband: I always jumped up and down and cried: "Wait! Wait just a minute! I have to .. click...click..."
It is so utterly fascinating that they are so very, very different! As a true collector knows: one becomes boring offering too many snapshots -- so here only a few...
Fantastic images, Britta. Thank you.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Suze. The Berlin underground often shows how well-off people in that quarter were (now everything changed).Delete
The comment I posted initially disappeared, now twice. Magnificent pictures!ReplyDelete
so sorry - it is annoying when that happens (as it does sometimes with my comments, and if I think of it I make a virtual copy first, then say 'enter'). When you are in Berlin you will love to see some of these stations.
They look very interesting and some quite beautiful! xReplyDelete
the Art Deco ones are beautiful.
They are very beautiful and elegant too!! I really love to see the photos of railway stations, underground stations, passengers, trains, and even posters on the underground walls... Of your photos, as you mention, I like the Art Deco ones very much!!ReplyDelete
when I go to London in summer I will go to the London Transport Museum.
I would like to take photos of passengers too - but I am very shy to photograph people I don't know. Never know whether I would like to be on their pictures :-)
