All the fluffy snow on the rooves and trees is very attractive and perfect for photos. But when it melts, the water dropping down must look very grubby.
Dear Helen, oh no: the Bavarians are very tidy (even I start to become house proud :-) - so the snow is shovelled at the sides of the streets. Well yes: trees drip a bit, the water going through drainpipes gurgles - but that's a nice background noise for the first tentative chirps of the birds.
