Britta's Letters from her life divided between city-life in German's capital Berlin and life in a Bavarian village

Snippets.

My new idea to serve you sometimes just "Snippets" fascinates me.

As before I will write long posts, but more often a short one - sometimes I will serve you a Lungo, sometimes an Espresso. You might want to chat with me, or just enjoy the cuppa in silence.

Variety, change: life is bursting with possibilities.

Whenever you see the photo above it signals: "Snippets". Hope you have as much fun as I!

    1. Dear Yale, your comment was the first on my snippet-idea - and it made me smile and encouraged me - thank you!

  2. What is a Lungo Britta?
Nice pens - I love fountain pens.
    Great 'snippet' xx

    1. Oh Mary, I am a victim of the "baristas"! Before their time I just drank a normally-sized cup of coffee, which they call a Lungo - to hide their outrageous price :-)
Yes, fountain pens are something I indulge in - on the photo which I always use for my blog you see "the star": a porcelain fountain pen by Lamy. And in the snippet I adore the tiny Montblanc "Mozart" which is very practical for travel; and the inexpensive rose-gold Lamy was engraved with my name when they gave a treat in Christmas weeks three years ago in the KaDeWe.
      xx

  3. An espresso is a perfect metaphor for a snippe!

When my brain has a sparking idea but I can't get it down on paper, I sit down with an espresso and sharpen the brain. The first few sips of the very hot espresso are the most effective.

    1. Dear Helen, I hope it has same the effect on me!
I like it very hot too, and very sweet - and if as in fairy tales I have a third wish free: on a terrace in Italy! :-)
I do not know how they do it - their espresso is the best.

    1. True, Susan, I try to remind that - especially if I feel like getting into a rut . On the other hand I do love some routines.

    1. Yes, Rachel, that is easier to change than oneself :-)
Courier resembles the type of an old type-writer, thus I thought it adequate.

    1. At school I was average at running long distances, but a flop at long jump. I ran - and then, in the attempt to hit it exactly, slightly stopped at the beam where you jump off. Why do I suddenly think of that after my grandiose announcement?

    1. Dear Joanne, for my part I found out that anticipation very often is the cherry on the torte of life :-)
