How to Stay Supple Through Pre-Christmas Season

29th November --- Got this funny drawing per WhatsApp. (Query: Why? Is it tongue in cheek - or just funny? Muse on humour as a funny thing...)

Translation (utterly superfluous for Yoga-afficionados): Die Tanne = the fir; Der Braten = the roast; Die Waage = the scales; Die Kerze = the candle.

Take out my appointment book and write: "Cancel Fitness-Studio", though I would love to be there, being unsporting since February. Before work-out with weight 3 times a week. Now my muscles try to impersonate a jellyfish (Memo to myself: Try not to overdramatise - at least I do around 10.000 steps a day. With FFP2 as an extra-weight).

So:                        Happy Supple First Sunday in Advent!

  1. For the first day of advent I am making myself a leftovers casserole. That will be the end of my leftovers from Thanksgiving. I may step on the scales in a few days to see how much damage was done.

    1. Dear Emma, I read about your "leftovers" from Thanksgiving - and they sounded very delicious! Scales...yes, I do understand...but yummy turkey one should not resist - it is healthy!

    1. If they look like Santa they should - but no: that is no word a cat will ever accept.

    1. Tell that to "the roast"! I think the reindeers appreciate the carrot in front of their nose - thus they stay slim.

  6. Santa doing yoga, that's a first. We could all use more weight bearing exercise. My neighbor just gave me a rowing machine that he did not want. I'll have to research exercise routines because I have never used a rower.

    1. The fine thing about that kind of exercise - with a --ah: hahaha: I read "mowing machine" and wanted to say: "..is that you can start in late spring" - now I see: it is "rowing machine" and say: "excellent!!! I love rowing machines, you will get very quickly used to it!"
