Seems that I am over the flu.
I start feeling much better, have no longer fever. Have lost a few pounds - which was NOT necessary and makes me still a bit feeble - but I can think again, the muddiness in my head is blown away.
I still feel weak - but I no longer feel stuck.
I see improvements, and have a lot of plans. I "only" need patience.
So, I'm happy again!
Dear Brigitta, I'm very glad you are feeling better. There have been some awful viruses at large this winter --in so many countries. The world makes more sense when you are well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Geo.! And of course you are right: The world and life make much more sense to me now!
DeleteHappy to hear this Britta! Stressfullness, tiredness and illness all add up to make one feel like another person - I'm happy you're back blogging again and back to feeling your old self again.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Thank you, Maria! Today it was the first day I went to the university again - and enjoyed learning Netherlands.
DeleteHi Britta, good to see a more positive feeling returning.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rachel - my own true self is back again. Ha!
DeleteI wondered where you were Britta but pleased that you are beginning to feel so much better - flu can be a frightful knockout taking weeks to get over.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosemary! Yes - I suffered - as thousand other people in Berlin. I always take tube and bus - and think that that normally works quite well as a sort of vaccination! :-)
DeleteHere, a lot of people with colds say the have the flu. Sounds like you had the real thing.
ReplyDeleteYes Tom, they use it here also in the wrong way, speaking of flu but meaning the common cold. I am not sure what I had - I had a real flu once and that was oh so awful! - but: looking at my text written on Sunday, I think I MUST have had the flu...and eliminated it as soon as my temperature went down... :-)
DeleteI remember it was one "gripping" post. That is such an anachronism, I apologize, but could not help it. My father, from whom I learned to pun, would be amused. My grandmother, from whom I learned the word, would "tsk, tsk."
DeleteHahaha, Joanne - Tsk, tsk, tsk :-) !
DeleteHonestly: I love puns - and this absolutely had to be made!
Being that sick is terrible. First you feel like you will die. Then you feel so bad you hope you will die. Finally you begin to feel a bit better. Take care of yourself for as long as it takes.
ReplyDeleteDear Emma, thank you! Yes, felt really awful - and normally I am not one who complains... I will take care - as good as possible.
ReplyDeleteBritta... so sorry to hear you were sick. Thankful that you are back to being Britta and hopefully you have left the illness behind. Take care... don't forge ahead too quickly and overdo.... patience is a virtue.... or so they say! Smiles... Susan
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan, and yes: I need some patience (not my cup of tea). To think that I am not allowed at the moment to go to the fitness-studio ...) I have to learn a lot for my Netherland exam - but that I can do indoors, sitting.) Wish life goes back to normal soon!
DeleteBought some spring- plants like snowdrops, anemones, crocus in little pots for my balcony - helps to look at that lovelies and dream of spring..
The flu is very bad this year. I'm so glad you've recovered and are back to being you. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shawn. I came back to my blog just now (my time was completely filled with learning Dutch).
