I know that this year I was a bit unproductive in the blogger-world (I had a lot of other things on my plate, sorry).
But I want to thank you all for making my life richer: by reading your blogs, smile, getting ideas (thank you
Elaine for the tip about the Christmas book - you see: I've got it!), lending an ear.
I hope that at least December will see more input of mine here.
I do hope you enjoy the book Britta - I love his writing. I wondered where you had got to, life gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it. Hope you are keeping well, looking forward to seeing more of your posts in my inbox soon.
ReplyDeleteI am utterly certain that I will enjoy it - thank you, Elaine!
DeleteAs I'm "healthy, wealthy and in command" (as my dear friend Stephen Russell puts it), I am lucky to handle challenges. Lee's life hadn't been easy as a writer, says a Guardian critic - after one big success authors often have the problem of a successful second book.
Dear Brigitta, your posts are always a pleasure to read. It is I who thank you for furnishing this bright place on the internet and sharing your thoughts and adventures.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, dear Geo., I'm always really touched by your kind words. I'm glad that my energy level is high (and that I - till now and hopefully still a long time - have bouncebackabilities).
DeleteOur life is richer because of YOU Britta ...... we all dip in and out of our blogs as ' real life' takes over sometimes and friend's don't mind that .... here's to more blogging friendship in 2017. XXXX
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jackie - so I will put some of my my efforts into writing and reading. (It is so nice to get absolution!)
DeleteI blog everyday except when I get enormously upset by somebody and I just cannot take anymore. I am so grateful to have blog friends like you Britta. You cannot know how much I mean that. I miss you when you don't comment. I enjoy your posts and your fun and your take on things that I would never ever see without youxxx
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel, I'm really moved (and - though not being a paragon of modesty, I really blushed - while enjoying it) Thank you! At least I can say to my excuse that I have more often read than commented - but will try to balance that.
DeleteI'm always happy to see your pink avatar show on my reading list.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne - pink for me is a sign of "standing my ground".
DeleteI have been coming here every day to see if you were back - I missed you, Britta. I will be looking forward to December.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Oh Maria, thank you - I almost feel guilty! The last 20 months have been a bit trying - though I am still able to see the wonderful and exciting side too - and make the best of it. Con bacino! Britta xx
DeleteYou cannot give up everyday life for a blog. I am thankful for the times you have to write about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Emma! It may be the huge sum of the interesting blogs you all write - reading and commenting are really fun, but also time-consuming. But I learn so much by it - and the interesting thing is that one really starts to "know" (a bit) the blog friends, and cares about them.
DeleteIt is lovely to be one of your blogger mates Britta - you always give us such an interesting take on the things around you.
ReplyDeleteLaurie Lee came from my corner of the world - literally just up the valley from me - hope you enjoy the book.
Thank you, Rosemary! As I followed quite a lot of your tips on my visits to England, (and some delicious recipes!), I always have a notebook on my desk when reading your blog.
DeleteDo you compare Laurie Lee's scenes with the pictures in your mind?
Oh yes, I can see the valley, the lanes and the golden lined stonewalled fields in all of his writings.
DeleteIt's so nice to know you are there even when you do not have time to write. I do look forward to reading you more often though. Happy Advent!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shawn, I have every intention to do so (though my four projects are demanding time). Happy Advent to you too!
