Summertime

Sorry that you didn't hear anything from me - I was just --- bone-idle.
Sat on our balcony, drank Berliner Weiße, looking for shadow wherever I go.

Enjoying an aristocratic acrobatic show at the Wannsee

                                                  and a beautiful sunset.

                                                           Perfectly happy.

    1. I wonder: till November this is too much to ask (and at that dose sun might be ageing :-)

    1. The Berliner Weiße looks so lovely in pink - (mixed with rasberry), though I like the green (sweet woodruff) more.

  4. That's exactly how it should be in the summertime. Enjoy it while the sun shines and the spirit moves you to relax.

  5. You must be feeling too good to write a blog. My heart is with you, and I want to know what a Berliner Weisser is - I became a bit fond of Aperol's when last in Germany - and Venice.

    1. I'll serve you and H.I Berliner Weiße on the balcony - though it only tastes good when the air is really hot.

  6. Happy is good. It's very very good. This time of year is for slow-moving relaxation. Unless of course, you have someplace to go in a hurry. Like a race. (A very sweet German gal told me pepper up the butt can put a little pep in your step...)

    1. Hahaha - if anybody here wants to understand they have to look at your marvellous blog - and a comment of a German gal.

  8. Britta... Content, quiet, peaceful... Languid summer days... So lovely. Enjoyed your previous post, too. Gardens by moonlight are to be savored. I always plant several white varieties of flowers to enjoy at night... They are delightful by the light of the moon! Susan

    1. Nice to see you here! The finest thing about these (professional) acrobats is, that their leader lives in our house in Berlin - and he thus could help me to buy two tickets - the whole show was utterly sold-out, but we were lucky!

  13. Hi

You say "bone idle" but it seems to me that your summer days are really wonderful!! The Berliner Weiße, beautiful sunset, acrobatic show.....You are so lucky!! It has been ridiculously hot(37~40℃) in Japan(sigh).

    1. You know me - seldom able to sit still for a long time - but these were so nice recreational moments. 37 - 40° C in Japan - we had that only a few days, and I feel with you, Sapphire - on such days one doesn't like to move and tries to stay indoors.
