The World's Economy - explained with just two (blogs) cows

©Brigitta Huegel
Dear You,
at the moment - you feel it, with that hopping between my own blogs - I am a bit restless.
Might be the influence of spring?
I shouldn't do that. When a company gets too big, too much diversification makes everybody hectic and stressed, and one loses track of the real important things.
So back again to Berlin letters, solely - and http://burstingwithhappiness.blogspot.de/, of course - because that is quite a different cup of tea.
I'll drink that tea, calm down, and study the following very funny lesson in economics -

  1. Delightful description of American Corporations --but incomplete. Of course one sells one of 2 cows to a buyer who has already gone through the process of exhausting the remaining cow. Process repeats. This leaves seller with no cows. Seller becomes a consultant.

    2. That seems to me as too much faith in the possibilities of modern technology, Shawn!

    1. But many more shoes than just two, Joanne ...

    2. Back in the day, Imelda Marcos owned maybe twice as many as I owned. Keeping the economy moving.

    3. I still try -- when I come home with new ones, they sing in a chorus: "Actually you needed some shoes!"

    1. I liked it so much too - got it via a friend; she always finds great snippets in the net.

  5. I love those swan shoes. They capture my sense of "different". I have seen the two cows thing many times but never to the extent this one portrayed. It was fun.

    1. Thank you, Emma. The swan shoes are really comfortable - and once a Swedish woman asked me in the underground, if she might take a picture of them. Of course!

  6. I enjoyed this very much it made me smile as it all seemed very accurately - I wonder who thought it up. I am in the process of putting away my winter shoes and bringing out the summer ones - just hope I have a chance to wear them as the weather is pretty drear at the moment.

Well - the weather here is changing - its getting warm now (the last days I regretted havin my coat at the cleaner's - had forgotten that the farmer in Germany speak of theses days in May as "Schafskälte" - "cold for sheep" - they just shorn...)

    1. Maria, I love la cucina mediterranea! We were in Berlin in La Lavanderia Vecchia - wonderful, and a very good wine from Lazio, "Ratto delle Sabine", lovely! Greetings Britta x

  8. You have two genetically modified cows. You feed them growth hormone. They grow as big as 4 cows. You sell them to your favourite fast food outlet. With the money you open a pharmacy next door.

  9. Haha, Gwil, did you work that out? The pharmacist's wife might become a dietitian, and give courses on healthy nutrition, write a cookbook and become the new Nigella Lawson?
